Eng-Abdul Daryabadi : The clatterer!
Eng-Dr. Mohsin : Al-Qâri’ah (the striking Hour i.e. the Day of Resurrection),
Eng-Mufti-Taqi-Usmani-Audio : The Striking Event!
Eng-Pickthal-Audio : The Calamity!
Eng-Yusuf Ali : The (Day) of Noise and Clamour:

Eng-Abdul Daryabadi : What is the clatterer?
Eng-Dr. Mohsin : What is the striking (Hour)?
Eng-Mufti-Taqi-Usmani-Audio : What is the Striking Event?
Eng-Pickthal-Audio : What is the Calamity?
Eng-Yusuf Ali : What is the (Day) of Noise and Clamour?
Verse : 003
Eng-Abdul Daryabadi : And what will make thee understand what the clatterer is?
Eng-Dr. Mohsin : And what will make you know what the striking (Hour) is?
Eng-Mufti-Taqi-Usmani-Audio : And what may let you know what the Striking Event is?
Eng-Pickthal-Audio : Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Calamity is!
Eng-Yusuf Ali : And what will explain to thee what the (Day) of Noise and Clamour is?
Verse : 004
Eng-Abdul Daryabadi : A Day when mankind shall become as moths scattered.
Eng-Dr. Mohsin : It is a Day whereon mankind will be like moths scattered about,
Eng-Mufti-Taqi-Usmani-Audio : It will happen) on a day when people will be like scattered moths,
Eng-Pickthal-Audio : A day wherein mankind will be as thickly-scattered moths
Eng-Yusuf Ali : (It is) a Day whereon Men will be like moths Scattered about,
Verse : 005
Eng-Abdul Daryabadi : And mountains shall become as wool carded.
Eng-Dr. Mohsin : And the mountains will be like carded wool,
Eng-Mufti-Taqi-Usmani-Audio : And the mountains will be like carded wool.
Eng-Pickthal-Audio : And the mountains will become as carded wool.
Eng-Yusuf Ali : And the mountains will be like carded wool.
Verse : 006
Eng-Abdul Daryabadi : Then as for him whose balances are heavy,
Eng-Dr. Mohsin : Then as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be heavy,Eng-Mufti-Taqi-Usmani-Audio : Then, as for him whose scales (of good deeds) are heavy,
Eng-Pickthal-Audio : Then, as for him whose scales are heavy (with good works),
Eng-Yusuf Ali : Then, he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) heavy
Verse : 007
Eng-Abdul Daryabadi : he shall be in life well-pleasing.
Eng-Dr. Mohsin : He will live a pleasant life (in Paradise).
Eng-Mufti-Taqi-Usmani-Audio : He will be in a happy life.
Eng-Pickthal-Audio : He will live a pleasant life.
Eng-Yusuf Ali : Will be in a life of good pleasure and satisfaction.
Verse : 008
Eng-Abdul Daryabadi : And as for him whose balances are light,
Eng-Dr. Mohsin : But as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be light,
Eng-Mufti-Taqi-Usmani-Audio : But he whose scales are light,
Eng-Pickthal-Audio : But as for him whose scales are light,
Eng-Yusuf Ali : But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light―
Verse : 009
Eng-Abdul Daryabadi : his abode shall be the Abyss.
Eng-Dr. Mohsin : He will have his home in Hawiyah (pit, i.e. Hell)
Eng-Mufti-Taqi-Usmani-Audio : His abode will be Abyss.
Eng-Pickthal-Audio : The bereft and Hungry One will be his mother,
Eng-Yusuf Ali : Will have his home in a (bottomless) pit.
Verse : 010
Eng-Abdul Daryabadi : And what shall make thee understand what she is?
Eng-Dr. Mohsin : And what will make you know what it is?
Eng-Mufti-Taqi-Usmani-Audio : And what may let you know what that (Abyss) is?
Eng-Pickthal-Audio : Ah, what will convey unto thee what she is! –
Eng-Yusuf Ali : And what will explain to thee what this is?
Verse : 011
Eng-Abdul Daryabadi : A Fire exceedingly hot.
Eng-Dr. Mohsin : (It is) a fiercey blazing Fire!
Eng-Mufti-Taqi-Usmani-Audio : A blazing Fire!
Eng-Pickthal-Audio : Raging Fire.
Eng-Yusuf Ali : (It is) a Fire Blazing fiercely!
